Waratah is the Aboriginal word for ‘Beautiful’ -how they got this name is no surprise. Their vivid colours and amazing flower heads protrude from the bush like a stunning beacon.

But they are not just beautiful, they are resilient. They are strong.

I’ve spent time over the past weeks reflecting about the women in my life – not only the women I’ve sadly lost but those still here, who inspire me and lift me up.

We have a fire within us that somehow through all of life’s challenges keeps us fighting, protecting, nurturing and loving.

This one is for you (and me) and the women who came before us.
