Together We Stand is a vibrant expressive artwork that aims to capture the beauty of a freshly cut bunch of Austalian Banksias. This original artwork was produced, whilst I was reflecting on family ties. At the time of painting this, I was thinking about the way in which we are stronger when we are supported by others around us. Just like a bunch of flowers that lean on one another in a vase, we all need people around us, to hold us steady in life. As a result this message is reflected in the painting’s title Together We Stand.
